Chattanooga State Baseball and Softball Teams both Ranked #2 Nationally

As Chattanooga State basks in the success of winning the 2011 Region 7 Championships and National Tournament appearance of both the women and men’s basketball teams coached by former Vols Basketball stand-out, Jay Price, both Tigers Baseball and Lady Tigers Softball have climbed the national ranking’s ladder to garner a number two national ranking.

Tigers Baseball, coached by Greg Dennis, sports a 28-3 overall record and a conference mark of 10-1, standing alone at the top of the Region 7 Conference. On April 1 and 2, Chattanooga State Tigers travel to Gallatin, Tennessee to play a three-game conference series against Volunteer State.

With a perfect 6-0 conference mark and an overall record of 32-7, Lady Tigers Softball, under the leadership of Beth Keylon-Randolph, takes its first place Region 7 Conference standing on the line, April 3, against Cleveland State during a conference doubleheader against the Cougars. On April 2, the Lady Tigers join the Tigers Baseball team to play on the road in non-conference games against Volunteer State in Gallatin.
