July 20, 2010 | | Press Release
Chattanooga State Community College recently presented eight nursing students with scholarships provided by Memorial Health Care System. Recognized for their outstanding academic performance and commitment to nursing were Julie Horton, Rose Lovelace, Mary Myers, Angela Fuller, Crystal Martens, Jaclynn Rhodes, Amy Burnett, and Tara Tucker.
According to Dr. Howard Yarbrough, dean of Chattanooga State’s allied health and nursing programs, the financial support provided by Memorial Health Care System allows the college to acknowledge success and encourage excellence in the classroom. “The generosity of Memorial Health Care System is imperative because it rewards individuals who strive for scholastic distinction. Providing scholarships removes the financial burdens that most students face and ensures students can focus on their studies and prepare for the challenges they will encounter in the workplace.”
