Chattanooga State Community College will be hosting an Open House for high school students interested in the Mechatronics Academy at Volkswagen on Thursday, February 24 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Center for Engineering, Technology, Arts & Sciences (CETAS), room 110. Enter the campus using the West Entrance to access the CETAS building.

Mechatronics Academy is a multifaceted learning environment. Located at the Volkswagen plant, it acts as a launching pad for students to be “ahead of the game” and expedite their higher educational goals while learning in an industrial setting. Mechatronics Academy offers students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma from their home school, approximately 36 hours towards an associate degree, and some industry certifications.

The Open House will allow students and parent/guardians to see the current process for acceptance, current curriculum, ask questions related to the program, and meet the people for each step of the process. Students who may be interested in the program, click the link HERE to fill out the information form.
