October 5, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Chattanooga State is pleased to announce that it will celebrate first generation college students during the month of November with 29 Days of Thanks and Giving! The month-long event starts November 1 and ends on GivingTuesday, November 29.

It takes determination, dedication, and perseverance to be the first, plus celebrating “Firsts” is always fun. During the month of November with the help of community partners and sponsors, ChattState will celebrate Meaningful Mondays, Testimonial Tuesdays, Where Are They Now Wednesdays, Throwback Thursdays, and Fun Fridays. In addition, we will be hosting a special community event on our campus for National First Gen College Student Day on November 8.

We are honored to have Greg Vital, president and co-founder of Morning Pointe Senior Living along with Jay Dale, market president of First Horizon Bank as our presenting sponsors for our first-generation college student celebration.

Proceeds fund the Chattanooga State Foundation’s Tom Edd Wilson First in the Family Scholarship for first-generation students.
