Paul Ray - Parlegal Studies

Associate Professor Paul Ray has taught in the Paralegal Studies program at Chattanooga State since 1994. He advises two student groups, the Paralegal Association and the campus Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature. Paul Ray earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Auburn University and a Juris Doctorate(J.D.) from the University of Arkansas’ R.A. Leflar School of Law. He served as a Navy Judge Advocate General from 1988 until 1992. His assigned case work and trial work included tort law matters, domestic relations, environmental law, administrative hearings and criminal defense involving such charges as espionage, murder, manslaughter, and various drug charges. Mary, his wife of 26 years, is a cancer nurse. Their daughter and two sons all completed the Middle College Program at Chattanooga State. Two of them are completing degrees at Auburn and one at UTC this fall.
