Dear Chattanooga State Family,

As we complete the first week of the spring 2021 semester, I hope you are settling into your classes and to a new routine. This has been an exciting week. Not only have we started a new semester, we are starting a new phase in our country’s history with the inauguration of a new president. It is my hope that we can start this new year and new phase with a renewed sense of unity and focus on creating a successful future by learning and working together.

While the number of cases of COVID-19 on our campuses has remained relatively small due to your efforts to contain the virus, thevirus continues to spread rapidly in our community. Please protect yourself, your loved ones, and our community by wearing a mask when you are on campus or out in public. Please stay home if you feel sick. We want you to be healthy, and we need your help in keeping our campus and community healthy as well.  We are resilient. We are innovative. We are united. We are ChattState.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Ashford, Ed.D.
President
