Student Health Insurance Information - provides students a place to compare various health care exchange and marketplace options.

Erlanger Community Health Center provides medical/dental services, with fees based on a sliding scale. 

Volunteers in Medicine (423-855-8220) conducts general care, provides referrals and even physical therapy for ages 19-64.  Household must not have any other forms of insurance and be at or below poverty level.

A Step Ahead provides FREE long-term birth control to women in Southeast Tennessee.

The Hamilton County Health Department offers health and safety services for residents and animals within Hamilton County.

CEMPA Community Care provides primary health care services for individuals with HIV, as well as free STD/STI, HIV, and Hepatitis C testing for the general public.

RAM Clinic is a traveling medical, dental and vision service team that holds two-day clinics in various locations across the United States.  Cleveland High School is typically the site closest to us.

 

Additional information:

  • Students can remain insured under their parents’ medical/dental insurance until age 26.
  • Students who are 19 and under who meet income guidelines can qualify for TennCare benefits along with their family.
  • Dependents can't join Affordable Care Act (ACA) without a parent (special circumstances if qualified as dependent or have a disability).  
    • Enrollment for ACA begins in November unless there is a qualifying event.
