If you’re looking for a new career in IT, this is a wonderful place to start. No prior experience required! You will learn the skills needed to work in an entry-level IT position: installing and configuring operating systems like Windows and Linux; troubleshooting; cybersecurity; and how parts of a computer work together… and get put together. This course also covers network administration: hubs, routers, and servers. And of course, customer service training.

This class is hybrid meeting on Mondays virtually for one hour (6 pm to 7 pm), and Wednesdays in person for two hours (6 pm to 8 pm). The course is 36 hours of in-person instruction, plus the virtual course, which is a minimum of a 6-hour-per-week commitment of being engaged on the virtual platform.

The virtual course will open up one week before the class start dates so that the students can get logged in and prepared to learn. A computer or laptop is required for this training. The in-person classes will be held in a computer lab.  Bringing your laptop is optional for the in-person sessions.

Class dates are:

  • Mondays - Jan 22, Jan 29, Feb 5, Feb 12, Feb 19, Feb 26, Mar 4, Mar 11, Mar 18, Mar 25, Apr 1, & Apr 8
