Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Engineering Technology
Concentration: Chemical Engineering Technology Through a unique partnership between Wacker Polysilicon NA and Chattanooga State, students can complete a 2-year degree in Chemical Engineering Technology in as little as 16-months. Job opportunities in this program are outstanding with Wacker having already extended offers of employment to over 150 students in the program.
Concentration: Nuclear Power Engineering Technology Nuclear Power Plant Operations is the division responsible for the safe operation of the equipment necessary for the generation of electricity. The Nuclear Power Engineering Technology concentration was developed in response to a workforce initiative to expand the supply of well-qualified, entry-level student power plant operators. Graduates of the Nuclear Power Engineering Technology concentration will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to make an intelligent entry into the operational environment of a nuclear power plant.

- Students are accepted into the program by application only. Cohort groups begin each fall.
Concentration: Radiation Protection The Radiation Protection concentration was developed in response to a need for well-trained radiation protection technicians in the nuclear power industry. Graduates of the Radiation Protection concentration will have the ability to pursue careers in nuclear power plant radiation protection, fuel processing radiation protection, as a radiation safety officer in medical facilities, or as a radiation protection technician in research facilities.
