Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee
Associated General Contractors of East Tennessee is the trade association for commercial construction. With 230 commercial construction companies across 22 counties, their members decided to build a vocational school. To do this, AGC partnered with Chattanooga State and Hamilton County schools.
At ChattState we help you to find the career you are looking for, and one to drive our economy forward. With dual-enrolled high school students, adult students, and employers all under the same roof, our Building Construction Technology degree is unique nationwide. It teaches the skills and fundamentals of carpentry, construction and residential electrical wiring, construction and residential plumbing, foundation methods, masonry block, and brick laying. The employers and educators have designed a curriculum to get people employed once they graduate, and their metric for success is 100% job placement for every graduate.

Card Monroe Corporation
With a 37 country install base, Card Monroe Corporation bills itself as the number one tufting machine supplier in the world. Tufting is the process by which machines make carpet, artificial grass, and rugs. They currently have 180 employees and have partnered with Chattanooga State and Sequoyah Vocational School to hire an additional 20 open positions.
