Coronavirus Updates - March 25, 2020

Coronavirus info for webDear Chattanooga State Community, I hope everyone is safe and healthy and settling into your new daily routine. We have just a few updates for today as we all move into our new, temporary “campus” life.

Summer and Fall Registration Update

  • Summer registration begins April 6. A PIN number will not be required to register for any summer term, and students will be able to register without meeting with an academic advisor. Students will be required to meet the course pre-requisites in order to register for course(s).
  • Fall registration will begin in May. Additional information will be provided soon.

Need a Laptop or Internet Access?

If you are a student in need of a laptop, tablet, or internet access to allow you to be successful with online learning, please complete the Technology Needs Request Formon the COVID-19 information page. We want to ensure you have the tools needed to be successful.

Community WiFi Hotspots

  • EPB Quick Connect Free WiFi is now available at multiple locations in Chattanooga. Click here for a list of available locations.
  • Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative (BTC Fiber) is turning up its public WiFi hotspots in the city limits of Dunlap and Pikeville. Visit Bledsoe.net for a list of locations.
  • Sequatchie Valley Electric Cooperative (SVE Connect) is providing wi-fi hotspots throughout Marion County, including at Chattanooga State’s Kimball site. The service will be available daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. CST. Individuals parked near the hotspot will be able to connect to the service with this link.
  • See March 16 communication for internet access options from Comcast, Charter, and AT&T.

Reminder: College & Lab Closures

Graduation Survey

  • If you are a candidate for graduation in May and have not completed the May 2020 Commencement Alternative Option survey sent to you via email yesterday, please take the time to do so. As we explore potential alternatives to the May 9 ceremony, your input is valuable. Thank you to those that have already completed the survey! The survey was sent frominstitutional.research@chattanoogastate.edu via Survey Monkey and will be available until April 6.
