Online instruction will continue during this time.

Join Student Facebook Page

We encourage you to join the Chattanooga State student Facebook page. It’s a great way to stay connected with the Chattanooga State community during this time, as well as share your tips to help your fellow students be successful with online learning.

WiFi Access

Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative (BTC Fiber), in an effort to keep people connected to online resources, is turning up its public WiFi hotspots in the city limits of Dunlap and Pikeville. Visit Bledsoe.net for a list of locations. When using these hotspots, please remain in your vehicle and avoid congregating in groups.

Sequatchie Valley Electric Cooperative (SVE Connect) is providing wi-fi hotspots throughout Marion County, including at Chattanooga State’s Kimball site. The service will be available daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. CST while the pandemic is ongoing. Individuals parked near the hotspot will be able to connect to the service with this link.

Please see the March 16 communication for internet / broadband access options from Comcast, Charter, and AT&T.

Please continue to check the College COVID-19 information page for updates.

All reports indicate that our first day in an online environment was a success. While I am sure there are many remaining issues that have not been reported, I was pleased with the success of day one. You should be proud of the work you have done to make the transition successful. Remember, if you need help, ask. We are all here for each other.

The Chattanooga State family has never been stronger. You will get through this. We will get through this.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Ashford, Ed.D.

President
