Withdrawals Update

The last day to drop with a “W” or change to audit is Friday, March 27 for Full Term (January 21 – May 7) or Monday, April 13 for 2nd Session (March 23 – May 7). For students who wish to drop or withdraw from a course, please contact your Academic Completion Specialist. Visit the Academic Advising Virtual Office for additional information.

Major Field Tests & Exit Exams

The requirement for major field tests and exit exams will be waived for May graduates. Summer graduates will be contacted about this requirement at a later day.

Campus Bookstore Updates

Free shipping on rental returns and deadline extensions. The campus store is offering free shipping return labels and is also extending the non-return period without penalty to assist with increased returns by mail. Click the COVID-19 message at the top of the the home page of the campus store website and select “Consumer Impact FAQs” for the details.

Access to eBooks at no additional charge. Visit the campus store website to gain access to eBooks at no additional charge with your Chattanooga State email address. Each student can access up to seven (7) eBooks for the designated period free of charge.

Chattanooga State Online Student Resources

Please take advantage of these online services offered at Chattanooga State.

The ePortfolio Lab virtual office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Through Tigermail or personal email, email ChattStateePortfolio@gmail.com with questions. A mentor will respond to via email with a solution or a link for a Zoom video conference. Additional resources are also available on the ePortfolio website under the “Tech Help” tab.

The Math Center tutoring will be online only beginning Monday, March 23.

The Andrews Reading and Writing Center is online only. To schedule an appointment with a tutor in the Andrews Center, go to https://trac.chattanoogastate.edu or call 423-697-2410. Students can also email their writing as a Word document to andrewscenter@chattanoogastate.edu and complete the Online Tutoring Form.

Wi-Fi Access

]Kimball: Sequatchie Valley Electric Cooperative (SVE Connect) is providing wi-fi hotspots throughout Marion County, including at Chattanooga State’s Kimball site. The service will be available daily from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. CST while the pandemic is ongoing. Individuals parked near the hotspot will be able to connect to the service with this link.

Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) Update

TSBDC Online Info Session on SBA Disaster Loans: Tennessee small businesses and nonprofits feeling the effects of COVID-19 can apply for up to $2 million in federal assistance through the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan program.
