Google Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Professional Certificate - Course 1/15/24
Marketers attract customers to products and services, they watch for trends, develop advertising campaigns, and seek out target audiences. Digital marketers do all of that online. In this class, you will develop digital marketing and e-commerce strategies, and measure marketing analytics through popular tools like Canva, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Shopify, Twitter, Google Ads, and Google Analytics. The class is perfect for small-business owners.

Google Project Management Certification - Course 1/15/24
Start your path to a career in project management. In this program, you’ll learn in-demand skills that will have you job-ready in four months. No degree or experience is required.
Course Description: Introduction to the high-growth field of project management with a professional certificate developed by Google. Learn to estimate time and budgets, apply Agile frameworks, run effective meetings, manage stakeholders, and enhance your leadership skills.
This course will be a virtual class learning on the Coursera platform, then reinforced with in-person classes weekly with a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that is PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Class time will include Q&A for course material, realistic project simulations, experienced project management speakers from Chattanooga’s local Project Management Institute chapter, as well as introductions to hiring managers.
Prerequisites: This is an entry level class with no prior experience required. Basic computer knowledge is required (browsing the web, spreadsheets, word processing).
- The online course will start on January 15, 2024, and end on April 18, 2024.
- The in-person instruction will start on January 18, 2024 meeting every Thursday until March 28, 2024.
Google IT Support Professional Certificate - Course 1/15/24
If you’re looking for a new career in IT, this is a wonderful place to start. No prior experience required! You will learn the skills needed to work in an entry-level IT position: installing and configuring operating systems like Windows and Linux; troubleshooting; cybersecurity; and how parts of a computer work together… and get put together. This course also covers network administration: hubs, routers, and servers. And of course, customer service training.
This class is hybrid meeting on Mondays virtually for one hour (6 pm to 7 pm), and Wednesdays in person for two hours (6 pm to 8 pm). The course is 36 hours of in-person instruction, plus the virtual course, which is a minimum of a 6-hour-per-week commitment of being engaged on the virtual platform.
The virtual course will open up one week before the class start dates so that the students can get logged in and prepared to learn. A computer or laptop is required for this training. The in-person classes will be held in a computer lab. Bringing your laptop is optional for the in-person sessions.
Class dates are:
- Mondays - Jan 22, Jan 29, Feb 5, Feb 12, Feb 19, Feb 26, Mar 4, Mar 11, Mar 18, Mar 25, Apr 1, & Apr 8
(one hour each date virtually)
- Wednesdays - Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, Feb 28, Mar 6, Mar 13, Mar 20, Mar 27, & April 3
(two hours each date in-person).
Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate - Course 1/15/24
Cybersecurity experts work to keep computer systems safe from malware, ransomware attacks, and other threats. They are needed in every field: business, healthcare, education, government. This program offers a mix of videos, assessments, and hands-on labs that will introduce you to the cybersecurity tools, platforms, and skills required for an entry-level job in this growing and critical field.
Skills you will gain include Python, Linux, SQL, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).

Students at Polytech Academy get a head start on their future by taking college classes that prepare them for high-demand careers while in high school. Available paths are Chemical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Technology, and Computer Information Technology. Students keep active enrollment at their home school while attending classes on ChattState’s main campus.
