Artist Statement
I build the surroundings in which I live. I build objects I hope will enrich the environment of others. I am a problem solver. I see a space and in my mind begin to construct an element to complete the area. I find a new material or a known material in a different form and know there will be a time when I will work with that item. If there is no fit in a current project - then it must be remembered because it will be the solution in a future construction. Opportunity drives my work - a new material, new exhibition or commission. The creative part of my mind lives no differently than when I was a child. Only the material and cost have changed.
