December 1, 2022 (Chattanooga, TN) --- Gabrielle Alsept has been named “Head of the Class” through a student recognition program by Malco Products, SBC, the nation’s leading manufacturer of tools of the trade for trade professionals. Gabrielle, a student in the Collision Repair Technology program at Chattanooga State’s Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT), is the third consecutive “Head of the Class” winner in the Collision Repair Technology program since 2021.

Ms. Alsept was selected based on her attendance, participation, grades, and work ethics. She was presented with a certificate, Malco cap and tool gift, and the entire graduating class also received Malco caps. “Gabrielle is intense and driven to learn every task to complete her education to be the best collision technician she can be,” shared Tim Chastain, Collision Repair program instructor.

Each school term, Malco recognizes high-achieving students and entire graduating classes in the HVAC/sheet metal, building construction and autobody repair fields through the “Head of the Class” Student Recognition Program.

“We are pleased and grateful to partner with Malco in presenting this award to Gabrielle,” stated Dr. Jim Barrott, TCAT executive vice president. “She represents the quality of graduates that the Collision Repair Technology program produces for companies in our region.”

Since 2005, the program has reached more than 55,000 students, including 3,000 “Head of the Class” honorees, representing more than 700 high school career technical education programs, technical schools, union Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees and industry association programs across the U.S. and Canada.
