Curriculum Details

Motorsports is a $475 billion a year industry. Chattanooga is surrounded by motorsports tracks that each year host a number of racing events, car, boat, motorcycle, and ATV shows. Chattanooga State's Motorsports initiative has excelled for 20 years, generating interest and demand for motorsports welding, machining, and engine performance. The Motorsports Club is now the largest at Chattanooga State.

Career Opportunities

The concentration is designed to place students as integral members of Motorsports racing or assemblage teams. Due to their combination of hands-on machining, welding, and engine operation skills, Motorsports students should find success in a variety of jobs:

  • industrial maintenance
  • manufacturing
