What You’ll Need

  • Completed ChattState application. Must choose Health Sciences A.A.S. on application. 
  • Official Transcripts from high school or any higher education you’ve completed
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Selective Service Registration (for males 18+)
  • A completed FAFSA application
  • A completed BlueHorizon application

 


How to Apply

 

1. Complete the ChattState Admission Process
  • Submit the ChattState application for admission.

    • Choose Health Science, A.A.S. as your intended major.

  • ​Send official transcripts from your high school and any colleges previously attended to [email protected].

  • ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission, but encouraged for placement purposes. Students can submit ACT/SAT scores taken within the past 5 years, or take the college placement exam.

  • Students with a graduation date within the past 5 years and a GPA of 3.6 or higher do not need to submit test scores for placement.

  • Male students between 18-26 must submit proof of Selective Service registration.

  • Additional admissions requirements may be added after an applicant's file is reviewed.

2. Apply to the BlueHorizon Program

You must apply to ChattState and complete the BlueHorizon Program Application. The BlueHorizon deadline is November 15, 2026Apply Now!

3. ​Apply for TN Promise (graduating high school class of 2026)
4. Apply for TN Reconnect (students 23 and older)
  • Apply for TN Reconnect by November 1, 2026.
  • Please note that applicants are required to complete both the FAFSA and the TN Reconnect application in order to determine their eligibility for TN Reconnect.
  • Training begins January 2027.
5. Submit the FAFSA
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year, and must be submitted by April 1, 2026
  • Be sure to list Chattanooga State Community College (ChattState), Code:003998, as a school to receive your FAFSA information.

Decision Process

Applicants will receive two separate decisions: 

  • Admission to ChattState
  • Admission to BlueHorizon 

Admission to ChattState does not guarantee acceptance to the BlueHorizon Program.

 


Additional Scholarship Opportunities

Indicate interest in BlueHorizon Scholarships on the application. To be considered, you must: 

  • Be admitted to ChattState
  • Be accepted into BlueHorizon
  • Have a valid FAFSA on file 


Scholarships are awarded based on: 

  • Financial need
  • Academic merit
  • Application responses
