Chattanooga, TN—The Chattanooga State Foundation has received a generous $35,000 donation from the Chattanooga FC (CFC) Foundation to establish the StrongHER Scholarship. Over the next three years, this scholarship will provide support to five deserving ChattState students.

Krue Brock, Director of the CFC Foundation, stated, "The CFC Foundation is proud to partner with Chattanooga State in creating the StrongHER Scholarship. This investment over the next three years celebrates the partnership between Vfl Wolfsburg and CFC, which launched the StrongHER program last year, focusing on empowerment, training, mentoring, and education. Together, this partnership plays a crucial role in meeting our educational goals.”

Rebeca Del Valle, Project Lead for StrongHER, added, "StrongHER is about more than soccer. It's about empowerment, education, and creating opportunities that inspire self-confidence. Establishing the StrongHER scholarship at ChattState is a milestone achieved with our local partners."

A check presentation took place during a CFC soccer game this summer, highlighting the commitment of the CFC Foundation, the StrongHER program partners, and Chattanooga State Community College to help students achieve their goals.

“Scholarship partnerships like this help us remove barriers for students and fulfill our purpose to support and empower everyone in our community to learn without limits,” stated Dr. Rebecca Ashford, president of Chattanooga State. “We are grateful to the CFC Foundation and StrongHER program partners for making this investment in our students possible.”
