Theatre: THE GIVER

Location: Humanities Building Parking Lot

The Theatre Department at Chattanooga State is proud to present THE GIVER, a play by Eric Coble based on the book by Lois Lowry.  A story about the human condition and the importance of memory, the play centers around Jonas, who thinks his world is perfect, but after being selected for a special job in his community, he quickly learns how much was missing from his life. The play will be presented in the parking lot of the Humanities building, and the audio will utilize a closed FM transmitter, so you can enjoy the play from the comfort of your vehicle!  (THE GIVER is produced by special arrangement with DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY, INC., of Woodstock, Illinois.)

Music: Symphonic Band Concert

European Tour: Part Two. The Chattanooga State Symphonic Band, under the direction of Nicholas Hartline, will take you on a musical journey through Spain, Italy, Hungary, France, ending with a final stop back home in America. The concert will feature flute soloists Amalia Hartline and Cindy Solfest-Wallis.

The Chattanooga State Concert Choir presents “Music Down in my Soul”. The concert features inspirational selections by Thomas Tallis, Randall Thompson, John Carter, and Moses Hogan. This streamed concert features performances by Chattanooga State students, faculty, and guests.

Music: Student Chamber Ensembles

The Chattanooga State student Chamber Ensembles will present an evening of intimate chamber music.  The ensembles are led by Cindy Solfest-Wallis and Nicholas Hartline.

Music: Concert Choir and Symphonic Band Holiday Concert

Come get in the holiday spirit with the Chattanooga State Symphonic Band, Brass Quintet, and Piano Trio and Concert Choir.  The ensembles are led by Darrin Hassevoort and Nicholas Hartline and feature students of the college, the STEM School of Chattanooga, and Collegiate High School.
