Disciplinary Policy

Students with disabilities are expected to abide by the same disciplinary policies that are outlined in the Student Handbook as are non-disabled students.

While the disability may explain inappropriate behavior by the student, it does not excuse the behavior; therefore, students with disabilities are subject to any appropriate and necessary disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion. Generally, through appropriate due process procedures, institutional disciplinary measures will be imposed for conduct which adversely affects the institution's pursuit of its educational objectives; which violate or show a disregard for the rights of other members of the campus community; or which endangers property or persons or the institution or institution-controlled property. Any conduct which constitutes a danger to any person's health, safety, or personal well-being, including physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment, coercion or any other conduct which threatens or endangers the health or safety of any person is subject to disciplinary action.
