Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa Grads Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the international academic honor society of all two-year colleges. Chattanooga State's PTK chapter, Alpha Beta Mu, recognizes and encourages academic scholarship among Chattanooga State students. Students must be invited to membership in this chapter by having completed twelve college-level credit hours and having a cumulative college-level GPA of 3.5. Once a member, students are expected to maintain a cumulative college-level GPA of 3.2.

Alpha Beta Mu seeks to help students develop their leadership and service skills so that an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals exists and furthers students' academic excellence.

Members of Alpha Beta Mu, the college chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, work with members of the Honors Program as a part of Chattanooga State's Scholars on the River. Together the students participate in enrichment activities as well as college and community service.
