Division of Mathematics and Science

Welcome to the Division of Mathematics and Sciences at Chattanooga State.  We sincerely believe that our division offers the best community college education in mathematics and natural sciences in the Tri-State area.

Students majoring in the sciences can take all the appropriate courses at Chattanooga State and receive an associates degree (A.S. or A.A.) before transferring to a four year institution to complete the bachelors degree. Science courses that support pre-professional programs such as Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Medicine, Pre- Dental, and Pre-Veterinary are also regularly offered.

Almost every major requires at least one college-level course in mathematics.  Freshman and sophomore mathematics courses are available at Chattanooga State, and most are transferrable to four-year colleges and universities.
