News

The Spanish Club recently sponsored a food drive for La Plaza Comunitaria. They delivered to the Plaza 14 boxes and three reusable Walmart bags full of canned goods, rice, flour, pasta, beans, and treats, as well as 18 Walmart cards, worth $5 or $10 each. The generosity of Foreign Language students as well as others who dropped items into the boxes in Humanites, was amazing and drew applause and cheers from the guests at the Thanksgiving celebration last night at La Plaza Comunitaria. Special praise goes to students who gave hours of help and support: Tiffany Wilson, Spanish Club President; Jim Gaal, Club Secretary; Jade Napier, Club member, and Chattanooga State Jo/Joes Alfred Busbee and Ariana Busbee. Chattanooga State was well represented, by the generosity of its gifts and the fine character, good cheer and work ethic displayed by our students.

The division mourns the passing of retired professor John Stigall, Sr.
